At the Cabaret

We had a great evening at the Mayday! Cabaret! A big thank you to Theatre Transit and everybody who came out to see it. It was a great mix of acts - from stilt walkers to an adorable tap-dancing "old" couple - and the atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. 


This was the first annual fundraiser event, so keep your eyes peeled for the next one, which will take place sometime in May 2013. 


Also, (Parenthesis) is looking forward to keep working on 'The Dead Ringer'. We got great feedback and we will keep you posted on our progress. We do have the backstory fleshed out but we still need to write and compose quite a bit in order to make it into a full piece. Keep checking our blog and homepage for all the latest news.

Today Kyall brought his accordion to rehearsal. Come to the show to see if it made the cut - May 4th, 10pm at the Impro Depot.

Gearing up for Mayday! Cabaret! 


We had another rehearsal today. 


New additions: Glockenspiel, Cabasa and several mallets.

Mayday! Cabaret! Update:
The VIP section is sold out but there are still seats available for the Cabaret. Come early to avoid disappointment. The Improv Guild has a show right before the Cabaret. Why not check it out and then stick around for the Cabaret (let them know at the door for a $2 discount on your ticket!)

Rehearsals

We had our first rehearsal for 'The Dead Ringer'. Today we mostly did textwork and sound experiments.

We'll be starting our rehearsals next week.
We also just picked up a bell and a washboard, which will be part of the show. Let the sound experiments begin!
